High protein Low Sugar Edible Cookie Dough

I am a stress eater. On my quest to feel better, lose weight, be healthier, and cut out sugar I had to come find something that I could eat when I was stressed but that also wouldn't ruin my lifestyle change. 

This is one of those recipes that I found over on the old tikky tok. This doesn't taste exactly like cookie dough for me, but it is close and it's really good honestly. My kids will even eat it and one of them requested it as a treat for his birthday! 

Here's the recipe: 

  • 1 smaller tub of cottage cheese
  • 1/4c maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 2.5 cups of almond flour
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla protein powder
  • Chocolate chips (I used Lilly's for a low sugar option)

First, blend together cottage cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth. Then mix in almond flour, protein powder, and chocolate chips until you have your desired consistency. If it's too wet, I'll keep adding almond flour until that's all absorbed.

I've made this many times and it doesn't take much to fill me up. It helps with the sweet's cravings, and I continue to lose weight while eating it! It's definitely a win win!
